Alone in the Dark is one of the original survival horror games when it was first released way back in 1992.

Since that time, it’s been a bit up and down for the series, while the likes of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dead Space and more became the most popular horror franchises on the market. Perhaps the best in the Alone in the Dark series was The New Nightmare in 2001.

This year will see a reboot of the survival horror series Alone in the Dark published by THQ Nordic and developed by Pieces Interactive. Will this reboot live up to fans’ expectations? Only time will tell.

Between now and its release, we will no doubt see plenty of pre-launch trailers and the most recent of which feature its two main actors that will play the leading roles in Alone in the Dark, namely David Harbour (Stranger Things) who plays Edward Carnby and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) who plays Emily Hartwood.

Alone in the Dark will be released on 25 August 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
