Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, a city builder set in the same universe as the Falconeer, has received a brand-new trailer that gives a further glimpse of how players will be building their own bulwark. There is a slight difference to Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles compared to other city builders, in that the resources to build come from the ocean floor, specifically of The Great Ursee.
Players will be able to create multiple settlements and set up things like trade routes that you will assign Captains to. They will be responsible for flying between them. Command Towers will also be present in settlements, with Commanders styling these in the style of their faction. These towers can have dockyards, built on them, or be a place where units are created including Capital ships. Curved walls and gates have also been introduced, with these spawning in a procedural way as long as certain conditions are met. Bulwarks are going to be targets for other factions to attack, so a lot of focus will have to go on building up the defences to repel any destructive forces.
It is not necessary to play The Falconeer, but if you want more information about the world of The Great Ursee it may be beneficial. In our The Falconeer review, Jason wrote, “I find myself a little perplexed by The Falconeer. I still thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game, but it almost felt like I was doing so in spite of how I felt about the gameplay. I do think The Falconeer is going to find an audience that loves it wholeheartedly, but also that there will be plenty of others for whom this falls a bit flat too.”
There is currently no release date for Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, but it can be wishlisted on Steam.
