Crash Team Rumble, a 4v4 team-based online multiplayer game was announced at The Game Awards on Thursday, bringing a new approach to the Crash Bandicoot series with competitive features. Activision will publish Crash Team Rumble for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in 2023. Developed by Toys For Bob, the team behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and the Skylander series, Crash Team Rumble is an online competitive game set in the Crash Bandicoot universe that could shake things up for fans of the 3D platformer series. There had been rumors of a multiplayer Crash game, subtitled Crash Wumpa League, being developed by Toys For Bob until The Game Awards showcase, where publisher Activision revealed its next title via a brief gameplay trailer, Crash Team Rumble.
