Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Chronicles of the Ancients

The Chronicles of the Ancients is the final Friendship Quest for Belle that players will get to unlock once they have reached Friendship Level 10 with Belle.

In this guide, we’ll be covering the Chronicles of the Ancients quest for Belle in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The Chronicles of the Ancients – Walkthrough

Once players have finished the Best Mystery Solver in Dreamlight Valley quest and leveled up their Friendship Level to Level 10 with Belle, they will unlock the Chronicles of the Ancients quest. Players need to talk to Belle and select the quest option to start the quest.

Examine Belle’s Journal in the Beast’s Castle

After talking to Belle to start the quest, you need to go inside Belle’s office in the Beast’s Castle to find her Journal on the Writing Desk. Interact with the Journal to examine the page.

Return to Belle

After examining the Journal and the page, you need to go back to Belle and talk to her.

Talk to Ariel

Now, open the map to locate Ariel and talk to her.

Travel to Ariel’s Island

You need to go to the Dazzle Beach biome and go to Skull Rock Island to find a raft. Interact with the raft to travel to Ariel’s Island. There will be a chest trapped behind the rocks that you need to investigate.

Return to Belle

After investigating the chest, go back to the Valley and talk to Belle.

Gather Some Materials

You need to gather the following materials.

4x Ropes
2x Iron Ingot

Both of the materials are enhanced materials and can be crafted at the crafting station.

Give the Materials to the Beast

After gathering the materials, locate the Beast and give him the materials.

(Optional) Put together a Rustic outfit

It is an optional objective that you can complete by opening up the wardrobe and wearing the Rustic category outfit. Wear any 2 Rustic clothing items to complete the optional objective.

Go back to Ariel’s Island

Now, you need to go back to Ariel’s Island via the raft.

Talk to Beast

Once there, you will be able to talk to the Beast who has freed the chest from the rocks.

Take the Scroll from the Chest

Interact with the chest to pick up the scroll. Examine the scroll to view four different symbols on it.

Talk to Belle

Talk to Belle who should be nearby on Ariel’s Island.

Take Pictures of the Symbols

You need to find all four symbols in the valley and take a picture of them. The symbols are found in the following biomes.

Symbol 1: Ariel Island
Symbol 2: Frosted Heights
Symbol 3: Glade of Trust
Symbol 4: Forgotten Lands

Take a picture with all of the symbols as you find them to complete the objective.

Get the Contents of the Chest from the Beast’s House

Now, you need to go inside Beast’s House to get the contents of the chest. After getting the contents, you need to talk with Belle.

Bring the Chronicles of the Ancients to Fairy Godmother

Open the map to locate Fairy Godmother and give her the Chronicles of the Ancients.

Gather Materials

After talking to Fairy Godmother, you will have to gather the following materials.

1x Sapphire
10x Gold Ingots
3x Vitalys Crystals
5x Dream Shard

Sapphire and Vitalys Crystals can be found at Vitalys Mines in the Sunlit Plateau biome. Gold Ingots can be crafted at the crafting station and Dream Shard can be found by digging the shining spots in the Valley.

Bring the Materials to Fairy Godmother

Once you have gathered all of the materials, go back to Fairy Godmother and give her the materials so she can fix the Chronicles of the Ancients.

Bring the Chronicles of the Ancients to Belle

Open the map and locate Belle. Go to Belle and show her the Chronicles of the Ancients.

Place the Chronicles of the Ancients near Dreamlight Library

She will tell you to place it near the Dreamlight Valley. Open the Build Mode and then select the Chronicles of the Ancients from the requests section and place it near Merlin’s House.
