Marvel and Electronic Arts are officially announcing a “multi-title collaboration” for EA to develop three games based on established Marvel characters, including Iron Man. Marvel has been increasing its efforts to license its comic book superheroes, villains, and properties out for video game development. Marvel Snap, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and the upcoming Midnight Suns are just a few examples. Marvel’s partnership with EA is one of its largest, albeit not exclusive, yet. The partnership between Marvel and EA does not come as a significant surprise. In late September, EA and Marvel announced the development of a single-player Iron Man game at Motive Studios, the team behind the upcoming Dead Space remake. The Iron Man project was confirmed to be early in development, so is unlikely to be released for years yet. EA also confirmed that more Marvel games would be developed in the future.
