Hitman 3 is the third and final game in Io Interactive’s Hitman Reboot Trilogy. The game brings together Agent 47’s story in a way that most players won’t see coming, and ties up all the loose ends of the story. Hitman 3 Release Date
Hitman 3 launches on January 20, 2021. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Anyone who pre-orders the game will be able to play it as soon as it releases, with pre-loading for the title going live some days before it actually releases.
How to Buy Hitman 3
You can pre-order Hitman 3 at the time of writing, or buy it if you’re reading this after the game’s release date. There’s a standard version of the game that will allow you to access just the base game and nothing else. However, you could pick up a slightly more premium version of the game for a little bit more.
While the standard version of the game costs about $60. There is a Deluxe Edition of the game available for a little bit more at around $100 though.
Pre-Order Bonuses
While the standard version of the game comes without any additional content, it does come with the Trinity Pack as a pre-order bonus. This is a collection of cosmetic items for Agent 47 that players can access in-game.
The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with the same Trinity Pack pre-order bonus. However, it also includes a digital soundtrack, Deluxe Suits and Items for Agent 47, a digital copy of the World of Hitman book, Deluxe Escalation Contracts, and an exclusive Director’s Commentary.
If you loved the last two games in the series, you probably need to buy the Deluxe Edition. You’ll definitely make the most of all those new items. The Deluxe Escalation Contracts will also be a true highlight of your time with the game.
Is Hitman 3 Episodic?
For the first time in the Hitman Reboot Trilogy, Hitman 3 is not an episodic game. the first game in the trilogy was released over the course of a few months, with each location being launched after one or two months between the last one. This wasn’t a good method for developer Io Interactive though.
With Hitman 2, the game was still episodic, but all of the episodes were released as a single package. This was a clunky way of releasing the game, and makes it a pain to download if you’ve removed it from your console.
Hitman 3 will be just like any other triple A release. It’s a self-contained game that doesn’t have any episodes associated with it. However, it will probably be possible to download all of the episodes from Hitman and Hitman 2, and have them upgraded through the lens of Hitman 3. (www.hitc.com)
There are new mechanics and features in Hitman 3 that are exclusive to the latest game. With previous episodes downloaded though, the new features will be upgraded when played through Hitman 3.
