How to Evolve Misdreavus to Mismagius in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Posted on September 22, 2022 by FGH Team

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Evolve Misdreavus to Mismagius in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

In the game, there are certain Pokemon that the player cannot catch or are hard to catch in the wild. One of these Pokemon is Mismagius, and in this guide, you will learn how to evolve Misdreavus into a Mismagius! One of the methods to catch these Pokemon is through evolution.

Misdreavus to Mismagius

Mismagius is a Ghost-type Magical Pokemon that looks like a purple ghost with a round head and tufts that looks like a witch’s hat. The tips of Mismagius’ tufts have a paler color than most of its body. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Mismagius chants incantations that can ward against misfortune. Disaster will surely follow if someone causes Mismagius to be displeased.

Mismagius can be found in the Coronet Highlands, particularly in Stonetooth Rows. Mismagius can be found here in any weather condition. However, Mismagius can only be found in these locations at night. It is also worth noting that the Mismagius that can be found in this area is an Alpha Pokemon. Other than that, Mismagius can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Coronet Highlands and the Alabaster Icelands.

However, if you would rather obtain a Mismagius through evolution, the player can catch one by evolving a Misdreavus using a Dusk Stone. To do that, the player must first know where to find a Misdreavus.

Misdreavus

The player may find a Misdreavus in the Coronet Highlands (in the Celestica Ruins, Sacred Plaza, and Stonetooth Rows) and in the Alabaster Icelands (in Bonechill Wastes) Misdreavus can be found in these locations in every weather condition. However, it can only be found in these areas during the night.

If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Misdreavus’ preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms and Plump Beans.

If you plan on battling a Misdreavus first before catching it, it is worth noting that, as mentioned, Misdreavus is a Ghost-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Dark-type and Ghost-type moves (super effective), a resistance to the Bug-type, and Poison-type moves (not very effective), and immunity to Fighting-type and Normal-type moves (no effect)

Dusk Stone

Now that the player has caught a Misdreavus, all that is needed to evolve a Misdreavus to Mismagius is a Dusk Stone. There are several ways that the player can obtain a Dusk Stone:

The player may obtain a Dusk Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores shaking in the Crimson Mirelands. Breaking these shaking ores, however, will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler popping out and battling the player.

Other than that, the player may find some Dusk Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so check out the items inside them.

Alternatively, the player can purchase a Dusk Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Deep-Dark Rock. Unfortunately, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same, so that the purchasable item may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon.

The player can also purchase a Dusk Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,200 Merit Points. The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region.

Finally, Mismagius!

After catching a Misdreavus and obtaining a Dusk Stone, the player can now evolve a Misdreavus into a Mismagius!

To do that, this is what the player must do:

  1. Put the player’s Misdreavus in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps, selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt, or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village.
  2. Then, ensure that the Dusk Stone is in the player’s Satchel. If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Dusk Stone to the player’s Satchel.
  3. Next, return to the game and press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
  4. Select the Dusk Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Misdreavus from the player’s party, too; well, use the Dusk Stone on Misdreavus.
  5. Confirm on the prompt to evolve Misdreavus. Then, just like that, Misdreavus will evolve into a Mismagius!

Now that the player has a Mismagius, the player can try to use the Mismagius to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player to catch ’em all!
