How to Get Ruby in Tears of the Kingdom
Ruby is one of the precious ores in the game that has the power of fire as well as a High Price since ancient times. Ruby has a Fuse Attack Power of 1 meaning it will increase the level of the weapon by 1. Rubies can be sold to the merchants in the main towns of Hyrule and the Selling Price of Ruby is 110 Rupees.
Rubies can be found in the shining rocks in the cavern areas of the Hyrule World. There are various cavern areas both in the skies and depths in Hyrule that players can visit to get the Rubies. You will have to go into the cavern area and look for the Shining Rocks. The Shining Rocks are of different colors and the Ruby has the highest chance of dropping from the Red & Orange Shining on the rocks.
These Rocks are very rare to find in the cavern areas as they can be well hidden behind a secret wall or you will have to solve a puzzle to get to them. Once you have reached the Shining Rock of Red & Orange, you must have a weapon infused with a Rock or Boulder to break the rock. Breaking the rock will drop any precious ore that rock holds and you will be able to pick up the ores.
How to Get a Ruby Early in Tears of the Kingdom
Ruby can also be found in the very first area of the game. When players have reached Great Sky Island, they can find a Ruby in a cave named “Pondside Cave”. This cave is on the South side of the island and players will be able to get to the cave once they have completed the In-Isa Shrine Puzzle. As you get out of the Shrine, there will be a cave nearby the ground.
Go inside the cave and you will get to fight a creature named “Bubbulfrog”. After defeating the creature, you need to break the cracked stone wall in the cave. Make sure to fuse a weapon with a rock or boulder to break the cracked stone wall. Once you break it, you will see the Red & Orange Shining Rock behind the wall. Hit the Shining Rock to get yourself the first Ruby of the game.
