The Wind Temple is one of the main storyline temples that players will have to visit in order to progress in the main story. The Wind Temple is located above the Hebra Mountains area on the Northwest side of the map. Once players have found Tulin on top of the South Summit Cave, they will get a new objective of going to the Sky Islands with Tulin. The Sky Islands lead to the Wind Temple and you will have to climb your way up to the temple.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to reach the Wind Temple in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Reach the Wind Temple in Tears of the Kingdom
Start off by going in the direction of the marked location on your mini-map. You will have to climb up the Sky Islands Structures along the way to get to the peak of the mountain. Use the Wind Gust Ability of Tulin by pressing the A Button while gliding to get a boost. It will help you cover the greater distances between the structures in the air. Keep going and following the structures, until you get to the first flying block structure in the air.
There will be two blocks on the structure that you need to place on top of each other and then climb on the blocks. Jump toward the large flying pillar in front and use the Wind Gust ability to reach it. You need to climb up the pillar but make sure to utilize your stamina by getting on the circular rings on the side of the pillar. Once you have made it to the top of the pillar. Glide towards the block in the front. Once there, use the Ascend Ability to go up on the pillar above you.
After getting on top of the pillar, you will reach the Rising Island Chain area. Go ahead on the sky island and you will see a boat. A small dialogue scene will take place and after the dialogue, you need to jump on top of the boat to get a boost in the air to reach the far sky islands. There will be a Shrine as well that you can complete if you want. Otherwise, keep on going on the trail by passing through the Shiny Ice Floor in front of the Shrine.
You will see another boat at the end of the structures in the air that will give you the boost to reach the higher structures in the air. Go ahead on the higher structures and you will reach a pillar with two blocks nearby. Place the blocks on top of each other and climb the pillar. You will see a giant pillar with ice in the middle in front of you. You need to get up on that pillar but you can only do it by ascending below it. Go around the structures on the side of the pillar and then eventually you will end up under the pillar. Place the blocks on top of each other and then climb the blocks to get close to the range of the pillar. Use the Ascend Ability to get on top of it.
Now, use your glider and wind gust ability to reach the structure ahead and keep going ahead until you reach a platform with cracked rocks in the middle. Go down the platform and you will see a boat directly under the rocks. You need to throw a block on the boat and it will bounce the block which will break the rocks. Now, jump on the boat to boost yourself in the air to reach the shiny ice platform. Break the ice platform and jump on the boat to go ahead.
Keep going ahead and you will reach a platform with a Balloon on it. Place the Balloon and the Fire Emitter on a platform to go up and then jump on the platform above. Use the Ascend Ability to go up the pillar above the platform. A small dialogue section will take place in which Tulin will tell you about the cold wind. Make sure to eat Cold Resistance Food to not die in the cold weather. There will be a shrine in front that you can complete as well.
Now, you just have to jump on the boats in the air to get to the very top of the wild wind. You will have to time some of the boats to keep going up. Make sure the Wind Gust ability is charged before jumping on the next boat. Once you have reached the clear sky, Glide towards the middle of the tornado and dive down directly to reach the Wind Temple.
Once there, you will get to solve the puzzle of unlocking the locks of Hatch on Wind Temple.
