What makes End of Abyss different from other action-adventure games
In End of Abyss, players encounter whispering machines and creatures that are not fully human. They play as Cel, a young combat technician who uncovers the truth about the facility she’s trapped in.
The official description for the game reads, “In the depths of a mysterious underground compound, a mission to investigate disturbances of unknown origin spirals into a harrowing descent through a broken and abandoned world.”
Fans of survival-horror titles such as Alien: Isolation, Dead Space, and The Callisto Protocol may find End of Abyss appealing. The horror game features monstrous creatures throughout the player’s journey. Players must upgrade their gear and adapt to the environment to survive.
Players can navigate branching paths and uncover hidden areas using the Scanner. They can also unlock additional tools along the way. As they grow stronger, players can open Pathways that allow them to return to forgotten corridors and previously inaccessible areas.
End of Abyss is available on the PlayStation Store for $29.99. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can try the full game for an hour.
