For those keeping count, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will begin the 9th Generation of mainline Pokémon games. Each new generation typically adds around 80-100 new Pokémon – some of these being regional variants, new forms of existing Pokémon and also entirely new Pokémon. Very exciting!
