Voya Games Excels with Craft World on Ronin Leaderboard
Voya Games is celebrating a notable success as its flagship game, Craft World, secures the second spot on the Ronin Proof of Distribution leaderboard. The game trails only behind the well-known Axie Infinity in popularity. The surge in users and gameplay activity is attributed to Voya’s innovative strategies for introducing new players to blockchain gaming.
Growth and Accessibility
Currently, Craft World engages about 60,000 players monthly, with approximately 9,000 active players daily, showing significant traction with an increasing daily install rate of around 1,500 new players. This adoption rate suggests a growing interest, predominantly from users who initially have little to no familiarity with cryptocurrency but gradually interact more with the blockchain elements integrated into the game.
Simplified Entry for New Players
Voya Games has notably simplified the onboarding process for Craft World. Players can start the game without the need to set up a wallet immediately. By entering as guests, players can later secure their accounts using either email or social media logins. A unique aspect is the automatic generation of a smart wallet linked to the player’s VOYA ID, which serves as both an account ID and an on-chain identity. This setup spares new users from the complexities of blockchain transactions, as the game covers gas fees for typical gameplay actions.
On-Chain Game Economy
Despite the streamlined entry process, Craft World boasts a robust on-chain economy, where in-game resources such as EARTH, WATER, and COIN are traded as ERC20 tokens. Players accumulate and trade these tokens using an in-game exchange that interacts with Katana, Ronin’s decentralized exchange, facilitating around 180,000 trades per month.
The game’s design ensures a seamless user experience even when interacting with blockchain components. Players don’t need a deep understanding of wallets or gas fees to enjoy the game. For those more acquainted with blockchain, there’s the opportunity to contribute liquidity to trading pairs and earn yields, similar to traditional decentralized finance (DeFi) practices.
Bridging Gaming and Blockchain
Voya Games positions Craft World not just as a game but as a bridge between traditional gaming and blockchain technology. By making blockchain interactions simple yet optional, they allow a broader audience—including casual gamers—to experience and adopt blockchain technology comfortably. This approach not only enhances the gaming experience but also educates users about the potential of blockchain, promoting wider acceptance and integration.
